Friday, June 19, the Petaluma Health Care District and Healthquest CPR conducted an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) demonstration and CPR training right here in our building, 1425 N McDowell Blvd. The workshop provided informative details on the symptoms of cardiac arrest versus a heart attack, and showed how to recognize cardiac complications, what preventative actions to take, and how to treat victims.
This demonstration was also facilitated in honor of June being CPR & AED Awareness Month . We are striving to promote conscientiousness and assertiveness when it comes to public health, and we feel as though this workshop equipped us with the proper tools to be proactive and responsible members of the community. The workshop occurred in conjunction with the HEARTSafe Community Program of the Petaluma Health Care District. HEARTSafe is a nationally recognized public health initiative, and operates on a community basis. HEARTSafe certification is earned by meeting several credentials that address the goal of promoting survival and health consciousness. Our building has been certified as a HEARTSafe building and Petaluma has been certified as the first HEARTSafe community in the North Bay.
Clear Blue Commercial is proud to have participated in this workshop!
